The apartment is located in the traditional Cape Verdean fishing village of San Pedro. A calm and relaxing area which is growing with European tourism through a new Eco hotel (Acquilas Hotel) that has just opened in the village combined with the Foya Branca resort located at the other end of the beach. The village also has a little square, minimarket, bakery and beach bar.

San Pedro has seeing increasing demand from Europeans looking to invest in the area.

It is 10 minutes’ drive to the town of Mindelo and 2 minutes’ drive to the airport. There is a little noise when the planes come into land. This film shows a plane coming into land. Sao Vicente island is steeped in Colonial history, has excellent infrastructure and has a thriving Capital. It is the cultural heartland of the islands and has a wonderful feel good factor.It benefits from having lower costs of living and very good private and public hospitals.

Sao Vicente island has no direct flights from the UK at the moment, but there are direct flights from Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon. Flying from the Uk would require going via the above routes or to fly to Sal via Thomsons or Thomas Cook and catch an inter-island flight (Binter Canarias or TACV) from Sal (flight time is approx 35 minutes and price is 100 – 130 euros).
